Becky and I would like to thank you for your interest in our registered Angus cattle. We are located in Graham, about 90 miles west of Fort Worth in north-central Texas. Our ranch consists of 4500 acres in three parts, with the main ranch just south of Possum Kingdom Lake. We run around 200 head of Angus cattle, mostly bred for Spring calving.
Folks, the land around here is not like Virginia or Georgia. This rough terrain has hills and canyons and more rocks than trees. We hit 110 degrees in the summer and 0 degrees in the winter. By necessity and design, we raise Angus cattle that can thrive and perform under challenging conditions. We are confident that our cattle will meet your expectations wherever you are.
Our families have been ranching commercially in Texas for over 150 years. Becky and I decided in 1998 to go Angus for a number of reasons. We firmly believe that the best way to improve your herd’s performance and profitability is to consistently measure their strengths and weaknesses and implement a plan of steady improvement.
The American Angus Association has gathered a mountain of useful data on Angus cattle over the years. By carefully using this data, measuring our performance, and culling underachievers, we are making better cows.
Our operation is not big enough to be all things to all people. We concentrate on producing Angus females of the very highest quality. We want to be your source for high-performing, fertile, efficient Angus cows. We believe our Angus cows will raise superior Angus bulls and heifers for your commercial customers and for yourself.
Our Angus females must represent proven bloodlines, they must perform in the feedlot, and they must scan well and possess superior EPD’s. We obtain GeneStar data and genetically verify parentage on all our cattle so that our buyers will have as much information as possible. We produce the type of cattle that we would want to buy ourselves.
Finally, I would like to give a special thanks to Minnie Lou Bradley, Texas Angus breeder and former President of the American Angus Association. Our first Angus bull came from her B3R herd. Minnie Lou has great insight into the Angus business and was kind enough to spend some time teaching this Aggie about all things Angus.
